Dreams & Nightmares

“I want to create photos that transport you away from reality for a second, whether that’s to a dreamworld or even a nightmare. I think photos are powerful enough to do this, even if it’s just for one second. Living abroad in Prague this semester has felt surreal to me, I’m constantly in awe at the beauty of the city & nature around me. Not to say it’s all sunshine & rainbows, though. When you travel or move to a new place your demons don’t simply stop following you. This balance intrigues me, & I’d like to put it into visual format. The balance between light & dark, pleasant & eerie, and of course dreams & nightmares. You can’t have one without the other. This is what I aim to capture.”
